What could be more reflective of South Louisiana than a cup of Community Coffee? No smooth, suave Starbucks. No flavored creams. Just the pure, bold taste of Community Coffee.

You know how the reptilian brain "remembers" aromas you "forgot"? Bring on a taste or odor from years ago and the reptilian brain will recognize it. That's what happened yesterday when I had coffee at my mother and brother's house. My brother had switched coffee brands and made a pot of Community. At first whiff, my brain raced back to my grandmother's house and the Community in her drip pot. Pure bliss!

And, yes, my brain flashed back to Lake Charles, where I taught for the first five years of my teaching career. The -ex's grandparents and aunt lived in Lake Charles. They, too, drank Community Coffee. There really is no accurate way to describe the taste and aroma of Community, other than: It tastes and smells like South Louisiana!

The package itself says Community is made from 100% imported Arabica beans, roasted, packed, and distributed out of Baton Rouge. "Then through generations of roasting experience, we achieve a full-bodied, yet smooth flavor that reflects the extraordinary culinary traditions of Louisiana" (taken from the back of the package). I chose Medium Roast (rich and smooth) from selections of Dark, Between, and Medium.

Just brew, pour, and enjoy! You have a cup of South Louisiana to savor.

I tried this coffee about 5 years ago. It is more flavorful, with less acidity than Folgers & Maxwell House. My husband & I won't drink anything else, and I've gone to some effort to get it shipped to me when I'm not in an area where the grocery sells this fantastic coffee. It is well worth the money!

I am so excited to discover that I can get my coffee on Amazon -delivered for free using my Prime account. I love the medium blend of Community Coffee, but for some reason my local grocery store stopped carrying this blend. Now that I know I can get it in two days w/free shipping -I am a happy coffee drinker again! I can't wait for my cup of java to arrive. This is my favorite coffee, bar none.

The most popular brands of coffee only work if you have never tasted the real thing. You do not need exotic coffees or convoluted flavoring. Only after you taste Community Coffee Ground Coffee, Medium Roast will you realize that this review is not just empty words.

All the ads in the world could not make me try the coffee as with a few exceptions most taste like wet grounds. The most popular coffee shops sell not string but burnt stuff that even missing with water tastes burnt.

I acutely came across this coffee in one of those combo gas station convents store combinations. I needed a little something to keep me going on the road. This was so good that I forgot and just sat there enjoying the coffy and talked away most of the day.

It was eureka and a great day when I found this coffee.

Decided to try out this coffee because it was an excellent price. It tastes wonderful! It has a smooth, balanced taste.

Speculators have driven coffee up the past year. A 34 oz can of Columbian, 100% Arabica (the good stuff) is at least $11. You rarely see coffee sold in one pound packages anymore (12 oz is the norm). With Subscribe and Save and the promo Amazon was running, I got 10 packs for $3.80 a pound. I can now drink my precious Joe without a guilty conscience.

With prices of ground coffee skyrocketing on grocer's shelves, we couldn't resist this opportunity to purchase our beloved (Louisiana) Community Coffee in 10-pack 1-pound bags from Amazon.com ... it was a good buy and we saved at least $1.50 per bag on the deal!

My husband and I are from New Orleans, & Community is the "coffee of choice" for most Louisiana Locals. It's so rich, without that bitter taste that some coffees have.
The price locally is very competitive - however, we've moved to Louisville, KY - and, we can't even find it here, so, we get "our Moms" to load up their suitcases when they come to visit. I was so pleased to find Community on Amazon, and the bulk price was GREAT (plus, I had a "Groupon") so, I ended up getting it for about $2.77 a bag- delivered to my front door!
I love having my favorite coffee "flown in" from Louisiana!
Well, my fresh pot has just brewed, so, I'm off to enjoy a cup now!

Besides this coffee is still packed by the POUND, it's some of the best I've brewed at home, pot after pot the flavor is great and it does't cost $2.50 a cup. Ground for perk, or drip it's just hard to make a bad cup. The price is great and the medium blend will suit anyones taste.

I purchased this based on reviews by others, but was disappointed with the taste. I will not be buying again.
