Outstanding Book by the late Dr. Robert C. Trojanowicz,
This review is from: Community policing : how to get started (Paperback)
During mu undergraduate studies at Michigan State University's School of Criminal Justice, I studied the textbook Community policing. I personally knew Dr. Trojanowicz who preferred to be called only "Bob." He was my friend and mentor so in some respects you may conclude that my review and rating is biased. I assure you this is not the case. During my college years at MSU I was a police officer with the Lansing Police Department. With the help of Dr. Trojanowicz and the endorsement of the Chief of Police, I implemented some of the community policing initiatives contained in this excellent book. The results were excellent. The relationship between certain minority groups and the Lansing Police Department improved 100%. I highly recommend this book to any criminal justice student and practitioner, specially those in police commanding status, such as Chiefs of Police, Patrol Division Commanders etc. Dr. Trojanowicz suddenly passed away and went to the Lord in the early 1990s.
