Not that great,

This review is from: Police in the Community: Strategies for the 21st Century (Hardcover)
The book has data but is written as if it was for a school paper with new words and every other line refering you to others work. This is a texbook used by some schools however, it gets a D- in helping people understand the COP programs. Try another book for learning and use this one for your reports

I gave this book one star, however it should be less. I felt it was a poorly written book, because the author continuously referenced other source materials throughout the book. It clearly demonstrated the authors' lack of personal experience and knowledge of police work. It appears they mostly commented on their personal opinion of how they feel community policing should operate instead of facts and experience. This book would be an excellent source for a high school book report, but a waste of time for law enforcement professionals. |
