Book Description

July 1, 2004
"...to crush the weak or tighten the noose. Duck, duck, goose."

I’ve always felt that I'm somewhat of an outsider or an un-belonger and that's not necessarily a bad thing. It is true that I am a man who lives in his own world but I need to eat and drink and buy underwear sometimes. So, I must commute to your world.

Commuting To Life Everyday is 15 years in the making. It is my happiness, my sadness, my weakness, my struggle, my weirdness and my picket line. It is my triumph and my loss. My friends and family will be the first ones to say that I've always been an open book. Well, here it is. For a price...

...a small chunk of your sanity.

To all the bumps and bruises, the Greyhound bus trips across Canada and all the women I've loved... here is my diary. Here is your diary.

4.0 out of 5 stars Wicked, July 11, 2005

All I can say is when will Dumont release his 2nd book? Commuting to Life Everyday is really a new kind of poetry yet it's still simple. It's totally wicked. He really doesn't take crap from anyone. At the same time, he really is a lover who's obviously hurt. I think. Anyway, I want more!

I liked the book alot because most of the time, the writer doesn't use big words. It goes to show that you can truly write beautiful things without overusing the dictionary or thesaurus. I highly recommend this book. It's a very good read.

4.0 out of 5 stars Cool, December 8, 2004
This review is from: Commuting to Life Everyday (Paperback)
I really find that this book of poetry is like an autobiography and after reading each poem, I yearn to know more about the author. This is a really good collection of poetry. It's sad, it's funny and even sometimes insulting, but in a good way. I love how he sometimes mocks society.
