Terrible book, questions don't help AT ALL,
By Paul (Huntington, NY) - See all my reviews
This review is from: CompTIA A+ 2006 Q&A (Paperback)
The exam is relatively straighfoward, but the questions are not as stupid as the ones in the book.Example: "What is the name of the port provided by some older computers that transmits data serially" HMM THATS A TOUGH ONE. Heres another: What program will "diskmgmt.msc" open A. Disk Management B. Control Panel C. Command Prompt D. Registry Don't buy this book. Theres plenty of other better books out there.

I guess it's alright for the price,
This review is from: CompTIA A+ 2006 Q&A (Paperback)
This book contains 379 questions for 620-601, 240 questions for for 620-602, 120 for 620-603, and 120 for 620-204. As for the questions themselves, some are A+ quality, but many simply test the basics. The two things that save this book, all the questions contain answers below the question and each question references the A+ requirement it was derived from. This allows you to review which requirements you're missing in a good A+ book or online. I would recommend this book if you want to find the missing knowledge and places you need to re-study, but not for direct help for the test itself.

This book has too many easy questions but it gives you a better feeling what you can expect on the real test.

Book Review,
This review is from: CompTIA A+ 2006 Q&A (Paperback)
This is a very much improved version which offers more help on those question harder to understand in the previous version. It makes an excellent tool to prepare for the A+ Exam.

WAY Too Easy,

This review is from: CompTIA A+ 2006 Q&A (Paperback)
I used and compared three different practice exam books before taking the tests. The questions in this book are far easier than those in the actual test. Therefore, this book will not help you study effectively. DO NOT BUY.

Best Study Available.,

I love this book. Together with the CompTia A+ 2006 In Depth, I am getting a great education. The In Depth book covers the material very well and this Q & A book is a great tool to reinforce your reading. I would recommend this to anyone taking the A+ exam or for anyone simply wanting to learn the basics of Hardware and Software.

Very disappointed,

The questions in this book are rediculously easy. I simply cannot believe the A+ exams will be anything like this book. I have no expectation whatsoever that knowing the answers to questions in this book means I am prepared - even partly - for the real exams.I'll probably update after I take the exams in a few weeks. |
