3.0 out of 5 stars Somewhat incomplete, October 7, 2009
While this is an informative book, especially concerning Microsoft networking utilities and features, there were definitely some areas on the Network+ 2009 N10-004 test (just took it today, and passed, but not as well as I would have liked) that were not well covered in this book. The areas that could definitely use more attention were CIDR-based sub-netting and physical facility equipment and tools. There was a lot of emphasis on troubleshooting scenarios as well. While the book (content/quizzes/test) focuses many questions around Microsoft tools/utilities, I experienced next to no Microsoft-centric questions on the actual test. (The test is actually very vendor neutral)

I realize it is not easy to create a test prep book like this, and I appreciate authors like Glen providing these resources. But at the same time, it is hard for any book to provide all possible knowledge needed for a test like this.

5.0 out of 5 stars Well written book, June 23, 2010
By
I'm using the book to facilitate a group that is studying for the certification exam. The book is well written and easy to understand. However, there is a lot of detail in the book that is a challenge for those indviduals who do not have a lot of networking experience to ingest. The self-test questions are very helpful, especially since explanations are provided that identify why the wrong answers are wrong and correct answers are correct. The "exam watch" hints are also a benefit, as they add emphasis to concepts that are important to know for the sake of passing the exam. Overall, it is a good study aid for the Network + certification.

5.0 out of 5 stars understandable, September 26, 2010
Firstly. I would like to thank and appraciate the author for this useful book. I am a master degree graduate from london in computer networking security. Although the most of the topics that are included in this book i did cover already in my study,I found the way of its presentation via this book interesting and attractive.
Many difficult titles could be covered in well done way. I also was able to obtain a new knowladge and information.

Lastly. I would recommend any one who is interested in computer and its related fields such as networking and security to read this book.

Best wishs
Isam
