This should have been included with the Nikon S8000 but what was Nikon thinking? This was a great price for a itty item that can run a lot more for identical item even here on Amazon from other sellers. Happy and small and works. We weren't happy campers when the camera showed up with only way to charge was inside the camera which would tie up the camera perhaps for hours and also if you have two batteries to charge you can now charge the extra while no down time for the camera. Shame on Nikon..but hurray for this seller. It's not fancy and it's not extra sturdy but for this price it'll get replaced if it breaks down. Why should it if you are careful with it. No information is given on how to use...ya gotta supply your own common sense or past experiences and life long learning to the table on this one folks. But it shouldn't be a problem even for a novice.

This thing might not be the best made product in the world, but it does the trick. This is much better than the charger that came with the Coolpix S8100 as you can charge the battery OUT of the camera. I also love the idea that it came with a car charger too. Cheap and effective... I am happy!

Reviews say this charges the EN EL12 batteries for the coolpix S8100. It does not.
The pictures also show the EN EL12 written on the charger. It is not the correct charger for the EN EL12 batteries.
This charger - as the title suggests - is for EN EL3.
Reviews and pictures look like the correct one, so I ordered it, only to find out that it is the wrong charger for my Coolpix S8100 battery.
