Considerations for rechargeable batteries,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: T-228 Plug-in Compact Charger with 4 pcs of Tenergy 9V 250mAh NiMH Batteries (Electronics)
I bought these batteries and charger to use with my and my wife's dive computers to save a little money and avoid all the waste with disposable batteries. They work as advertised, however the only thing which I have found that you have to take into consideration is that they do not degrade with use in the same way as the typical alkaline battery. In my use I can get 5 or 6 days of diving with an alkaline battery and the voltage drops gradually with use, but the rechargeable batteries only last about 4 days and the voltage drops rapidly near the end.

Competitive, but charger should have full charge indicators,

I purchased this charger and batteries to use in the few devices that I have that use 9V batteries - mainly garage opener remotes. This kit pays for itself in only a couple of uses when comparing to buying alkaline batteries at retail price. The main complaint I have is about the charger design. The LEDs are always on as long as there is a battery. There is no indicator when the batteries are fully charged - or at least, none that works. Unfortunately, the charger has now failed completely after less than 2 years, so I'm reducing the star rating from 4 to 2.

I would highly recommend this item to anyone looking for a high capacity 9v. The charger is a little non-intuitive, but I can work around that. Just plug it in and unplug it 24 hours later for the batteries you receive with the charger. Other batteries with different mAh would be different obviously. I use these batteries for paint ball. Normal batteries would only last me a day, maybe day and a half. These things lasted well over two full days of paint ball. My paint ball marker (gun) seems to hog the juice for some reason. Great item, great price, fast shipping!T-228 Plug-in Compact Charger with 4 pcs of Tenergy 9V 250mAh NiMH Batteries

Very simple, very easy to use.Only downside is you can't tell when the battery is fully charged. There is only a red LED that stays on all the time.Other than that it's a good cheap charger.

Good For A Year Or So,
This review is from: T-228 Plug-in Compact Charger with 4 pcs of Tenergy 9V 250mAh NiMH Batteries (Electronics)
I purchased this charger over a year ago and it worked very well for this year. It then "cooked" two 9V batteries so that the batteries actually were bent. Then the charger stopped working. Worked well while it lasted.

charger didn't work, batteries didn't work, but i didn't figure it out til way past the 30-day return date. These were my first (and last!) Tenergy-brand rechargeables. (If indeed they are Tenergys -- they look a little cheap, like they could be Chinese knockoffs.) I've had much better luck with Sanyo Eneloops (dozens of their rechargeable AAs are throughout the house, in remotes, clocks, nightlights... they've been great, charge quickly, hold their charge forever...) I'm buying some more Eneloops now. :)

9V Charger,
This review is from: T-228 Plug-in Compact Charger with 4 pcs of Tenergy 9V 250mAh NiMH Batteries (Electronics)
Charges relatively quickly and maintains a charge for 4-6 days depending on use. Although I typically leave the charger plugged in for 24 hours, there really is no way to tell when the batteries are fully charged; the LED light on the base is always lit. Charge does not last as long as with an alkaline battery, but it does the trick. True to the description and I would reccomend to others.

NOT EVEN ONE STAR,

These batteries did not work. I ordered a pack of 4 batteries thinking they would last at least 6 months, they did not even last 2 charges. Two of the batteries only charged once, the other two batteries did not even charge one time.

The packaging was so simple I thought it was cheap. So far its use is good. The batteries take 18 to 20 hours to charge fully.
