"A Treasure Trove of Wizardry",
By Terry (USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Companion for the Apprentice Wizard (Paperback)
"Companion for the Apprentice Wizard" - Where does one begin to extol this masterpiece! Oberon Zell Ravenheart is a wizard genius. The book too is pure genius and a work of art. It is filled with practical exercises, templates for many projects and step by step instructions. It is not only a work of art because of the artistic drawings, but a work of art that conveys a man's passion, love and his vision of a lifetime - to apprentice young and older alike in the ways of a wizard and magick.
This book takes the information of his first book, "Grimoire for the Apprentice Wizard" and helps the student to begin focusing on the practical, hands-on exercises to aid the aspiring wizard to continue on their journey. With more books coming in the future, I encourage you to but both the "Grimoire for the Apprentice Wizard" and "Companion for the Apprentice Wizard" to get you started on a lifelong journey. You will not be disappointed! You can't get any better than this! Come check out the school at www.greyschool.com

AWESOME! INCREDIBLE! Best book in the entire universe!,

This review is from: Companion for the Apprentice Wizard (Paperback)
This is an absolutely fabulous book with all sorts of information included. You can make your own ornithopter and a ton of other cool items. All details are included. Get a list of awesome house rules. Learn how to take care of orphaned animals. It's all inside. This book is a treasure chest filled with everything that I have ever dreamed of in my 40 something years. It is the perfect book for ALL ages! It is worth buying more than one copy so that you can give them as gifts. I can't say enough about this incredible book. P.S. And no, I am not a personal friend of the Oberon Zell-Ravenheart (although I would be honored to be one).

Great expansion Text,
This review is from: Companion for the Apprentice Wizard (Paperback)
This is another one of Oberon's great works. This book is similar to the Grimoire but expands in a direction not in the first book. The lessons are set kind of the same, by colors, but are expanded to give you more hands on things rather than reading lessons. The first book has some practical mixed in but this book is practical. There are many exercises and projects to do. These are lessons within lessons in this book. These are the lessons and tests for the apprentice wizard. These are the foundations on which to build your magickal knowledge.
For those that also find this book interesting check out the Grey School online to see if the path of the wizard is for you. This book offers lesson input from current members of the Grey School. As I am a student there I also understand that this book is becoming required reading to complete studies there. If you feel the pull of magick and wizardy, Don't fight it, check out the school and it's publications and maybe you'll find that the pull is not a pull but a longing to complete yourself.

I found this book to be the perfect companion to the Grimoire for the Apprentice Wizard, it goes into detail how to make things that the other book does not. It bringes the fun into the studies of wizardy, even if you are not a student of wizardy I would still recomend that you by this book, it will be help full for all in the magick fields.
Blessed be

Just the right touch,
By Avalonna WhiteRaven "AWR" (Colorado) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Companion for the Apprentice Wizard (Paperback)
While the "Grimoire for the Apprentice Wizard" is a wonderful book unto itself, the "Companion for the Apprentice Wizard" adds just the right touch to the information previously given by expanding upon it. The companion gives the apprentice wizard the extra information he or she needs to help them along their magickal journey. Along with the written text, there are several cut outs in the back that are designed to give apprentice wizards that extra hands on experience that every budding wizard needs in order to grow. This is a must have if you already have the Grimoire.

The Nexus Grows,
This review is from: Companion for the Apprentice Wizard (Paperback)
Whereas the _Grimoire for the Apprentice Wizard_ was the seed, this book is the evolution of that seed into a sapling. The first fruits of the Grey Council and the Grey School of Wizardry show an emerging culture that is broad-visioned, dogma-free and inclusive without lacking discipline or focus. As such, this is a unique book, one that no occult practitioner should be without. The labor of love continues.

This review is from: Companion for the Apprentice Wizard (Paperback)
This book is tremendous and awe-inspiring. It is a truly monumental and extremely useful reference work with a careful descriptions of how each course is made. As it is a most comprehensive and clearly written of Companion ever published. I would recommend this book for anyone at any age to study to be an Apprentice Wizard.

The Perfect Companion,
By
This review is from: Companion for the Apprentice Wizard (Paperback)
Not only has Oberon Zell-Ravenheart done it again with this book, so has the faculty of Grey School of Wizardry! In between "Grimoire for the Apprentice Wizard" and this book, Oberon started an online school for wizards. The very experienced faculty of the school contributed many wonderful articles to this book. In the Companion, you'll read about sixteen different areas of Wizardry, from Divination to Magickal Practice.
This book may just encourage you to sign up for the online school. (Which is VERY reasonably priced, I might add!) Even if not, there is so much to learn in the Companion, it will keep you reading, learning, and improving. Now, I can hardly wait for the first of Oberon's Journeyman books!
