Carefully covering an enormous territory using a diverse array of high quality scholars, Shook and Margolis' Companion to Pragmatism brings together well established and respected scholars. Together, the entries cover classical and contemporary figures as well as a useful array of movements and topics. Readers, students, and scholars in philosophy--be they inclined toward "analytic" or "continental" or whatever other orientation--should feel comfortable placing high confidence in this book. It is well edited, well written, and judiciously arranged. A true companion. Librarians, especially, should stock this book.
