Remember your loss in a beautiful way:),
By
This review is from: In the Company of Angels: A Memorial Book (Hardcover)
After my recent miscarriage in December of last year, I wanted to make sure that I memorialized our baby even though he/she was never in our arms. There are some that think parents of a miscarried baby should just move on and "try again", like nothing has happened. For anyone that has gone through this, a miscarriage is much more. I bought this book for my husband as a gift. It has pages dedicated to the memory of our baby, since that is all that we have. I have a six year old son who felt the loss of his brother/sister equally as hard as we did. We plan to use this book to look back upon and remember that moment of our lives and the heavenly member of our family.
I just today learned that I have had another miscarriage and I will again buy another book to remember yet another "angel" in our family. It not only helps us to remember, but it is an aide in the grieving process as you page by page document the little life you will miss forever. Thank you for such a beautiful memorial, an important grieving tool, and testament to the fact that you are not alone in your journey.

well done and helpful memorial book,
This review is from: In the Company of Angels: A Memorial Book (Hardcover)
The questions in this book are perfect for my situation with pregnancy loss and I think they'd apply well for infant loss too. Finally it's a book that gives respect to the thoughts and feelings we have for the little ones who we don't get to see learn to walk and talk,...yet still have as many "firsts" to acknowledge. I'm happy to have found this and think it'd be a great gift for someone suffering a loss.

To help you to never forget,

This review is from: In the Company of Angels: A Memorial Book (Hardcover)
Though many of us may never forget the little ones we've lost, this is a great way to help us remember the little (and big)things like current events and how we were feeling before the loss. It really helps you track from the beginning to the end and help you write down feelings to get them out. The book is beautifully made with wonderful pictures that remind you that you are not alone in your loss. It will help you and your surviving children remember. It is a wonderful book and I would recommend it for yourself or to give to a friend who may have lost an angel.

This book is a beautiful way to honour the babies we never got to meet. For anyone struggling with the loss and pain of miscarriage I would recommend this as a way to remember the happy and joyful times while you were pregnant, and to write down the hopes and dreams you had for your baby.

Remembering an angel,
By
This review is from: In the Company of Angels: A Memorial Book (Hardcover)
Finally someone recognizes our angels as having been here on earth and a large part of our lives, even for just a short time. The grief a mother suffers after a miscarriage is bad enough, but society does not allow that mother to mourn. This book finally acknowledges that our angels were here and grief is real. For any mother wanting a way to memorialize and remember her angel, this book is perfect!

In the matter of two weeks my sister in law lost her son at 22 weeks pregnant, and then my good friend lost her daugher at 17 weeks. I found this book for my sister in law. She has found it be be perfect for her to write in. Both my sister in law and my friend found the photos of siblings to be a nice touch. My sister in law has two step children (my nieces) and my friend has a daughter, the photos of siblings reminded them that the lost child is still part of their family! I would absolutely recommend this for anyone processing the loss of a child! Henry, Lynn, & Ronon you are missed every day!

A wonderful way to help the healing begin,

My wife and I had been trying for a baby for a while and we were so excited when we got pregnant the first time. And SO crushed when we lost that little one. It's hard to lose a child at any age, but there are some unique challenges to losing one very early in pregnancy as a lot of peoples' attitudes are: "It was so early you couldn't have attached yet," or "it wasn't a baby yet" or "be thankful this happened before you were further along." I guess the last attitude is somewhat true, but it's still hurtful to hear about your child that you wanted so badly. However, this book does not discriminate. It doesn't matter if you lost your baby at 5 weeks, 12 weeks, 21 weeks, 37 weeks, at birth, or a month after, it still makes you feel like every moment was precious and that the baby mattered. It was very healing to think about things like what I would imagine my child would have been like or grown up to be. I liked making sure I had somewhere to write down how we felt when we found out we were pregnant to the moment we knew our baby was gone. It's comforting to go back and read those thoughts. There are places where you can paste an ultrasound picture, or if you didn't have one as in my case, a place to paste a picture of anything that reminds you of your baby. The book is defintely suitable for any pregnancy or early childhood loss no matter how early. I don't want to say it's generic, but it is probing enough to ask the kind of questions you can fill in at any stage of pregnancy or post-partum without making you feel, if you lost the baby early, that you won't be able to fill out a bunch of the book because it doesn't apply to you. We lost ours at 8 weeks and I was able to fill the entire book without ever feeling uncomfortable, or like my situation didn't fit; yet, I can see if someone were to lose a baby at birth or after that it would also have room for them to fill in more or different details than my situation warranted. Overall, I would say this book was an essential part of the healing process and I would recommend it to anyone who lost a child, no matter when. Coupled with "Empty Craddle, Broken Heart", this book helped me through my grief to find closure. Please purchase it... you won't regret it, but you will regret it if you don't record those few memories you have before they start to fade.

I liked that this memory book gives you ideas and directions which can be helpful for a parent who is trying to find ways to honor and remember their baby but don't know where to start how to organize your memories.
The pages were in a spiral binder however that squeaked horribly when you were perusing the pages. I tried to imagine going through the effort to fill this book with the precious memories of our baby and just couldn't get past the feeling and noise of the pages. So though a plain album will require more thought for me (a NON scrapbook person), at least the book won't take away from the content.

I love this book, it is just like a baby book for the babies who were lost too soon. I will treasure it forever for my little girl!

A place to remember,

So many parents have no place to remember those they have lost by miscarriage. Finally, a place to acknowledge our little ones, a place to go to remember.
