In The Company Of Eck Masters,
By lee roth (Spring Park, Minnesota USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: In the Company of Eck Masters: Real-Life Experiences with Spiritual Masters in the 20th....... (Paperback)
I read this book before I met my future friend, Phil Morimitsu. Hopefully, this isn't a bias point of view.I will say that of all of the 'out there' books, this one has the sobering potential to put one right back into this physical reality with a more acute awareness of one's purpose as 'Soul' in this life.Because of Phil's subsequent experiences with the various Eck Masters throughout history chronicled chapter after chapter with headings like "Show Time", which is his experience of meeting Jesus and the Living Eck Master of the times, Zadok, all 35 chapters have various indigenous Eck Masters doing their specialty for Phil's unfoldment. Because of this book, I was subsequently able to have my own experiences with these magnificent and real beings such as: Quetzalcoatl, Gopal Das, Towart Managi, Phidias the Greek and the current 973rd Living Eck Master & Mahanta, Harold Klemp.I think my friend Phil's book was a major catalysis for these continuing and extraordinary experiences. This is a 6 star book for those who want to find out more about the light and sound of God and God's past and future teachers of this special holy voice that has always existed in the here and now for those who truly want it! `In the company of the Eck Masters', is a testament to the validity of personal spiritual experience. Every chapter surprises you with the freshness and variety of spiritual principles espoused.
This book by Phil Morimitsu should remind all students of truth that the Spiritual path will never be one of fanfare. It is oftentimes a lonely pilgrimage. In this book, Phil presents to us the result of the persistent application of one's inner and outer resources to an inner commitment. The reward is impossible to put to words, and this attempt only hints at a fraction of the total experience. Can Jesus, Paul Twitchell, Buddha, Harold Klemp, Phil Morimitsu, your father or brother provide you with proof of a spiritual journey? No! When the student of any spiritual path strives to develop even one spiritual skill; like the ability to enter the inner worlds at will, his/her experiences become the basis of their authority. Without this personal on-going proof, one easily doubts the reality of the inner worlds, and it is just a matter of time before the desire for psychic thrills, magic and manifestations takes over. The cycle just goes on and on. At what point does the weary soul decide that; `enough is enough'?

Going Home To God,

If you ever feel lonely, and want to know what the real reason is. If you get anxious, greedy, needy...or all of the above. The lessons here are exactly what the heart needs to hear. I had an inner experience with Queztacoatl, before I knew of his place in Eck. I later stumbled upon this book, and the doubts I'd had about my inner experience were washed away. Phil's words are like honey. Sweet, loving, and full of truth. Pick this one up, and rediscover Soul.

A Spiritual Classic,

I won't go into why I love this book so much as the other reviewers here did a good job of explaining why this book is so great. What I will say is that there have been a few times I've had a chance to see Phil Morimitsu wandering around at a seminar and the aura of deep love emanating from him was so visible and palpable and something that touched me to the core. No, I am not making a God out of this man for his books also reveal an all-to-human side too. But that's the whole point isn't it? Spiritually - the true spirituality of surrendering one's whole being to God, was (at least for me) to be seen in this man who even with his human challenges could radiate a love so strong I could it feel across a crowded room. The experience was such an inspiration to me. Another thing he addresses in his books is something called a 'naljorpa'. When I first read about it I suddenly didn't feel so alone and crazy anymore for I thought I was the only one who struggled with such a thing which was suddenly given a name and face in his other great book, 'The Seeker'. I guess I can sum this review up by saying Phil is the real deal who has made the experience of God's love via the Mahanta more accessible to me through him just being himself and the writing of his wonderful, inspiring l books.
Thank you Phil. Rob |
