I live in one of those old apartments that has been painted over and over and the painters (who have never heard of painters' tape) paint over everything. I wanted to get the paint off of the brass fixtures, tiles, window frames and other surfaces where paint didn't belong. This product does the job. Just be sure not to get it on a painted surface you want to remain painted.
