From woman truck driver to woman executive., June 18, 1996
By A Customer
This review is from: Company Woman: (A Novel) (Paperback)
The story of Hulda Olafsen, a truck driver for a construction company who gets a chance to move up in the company. She enters a trainee program and becomes an executive. Later, she realizes just how much she has lost, while fighting off the advances of her boss. This is a good book for its ethnic (Wisconsin) background and its pro-labor sympathies

Fun novel about a single woman with big ambitions, November 18, 2009
This review is from: Company Woman: (A Novel) (Paperback)
I enjoyed this book a lot. Hulda is a hard-drinking tough woman who makes a living by driving trucks. But she has a soft side, too. I think most people will enjoy this book.
