5.0 out of 5 stars The ultimate manual for relationships! May 1, 1997
By A Customer
This book is the how-to manual for coping with a lousy relationship with your mother and how to have a good relationship with your daughter. It covers friendships with women, why women need friendships with other women, the care and feeding of your female friendships and what to do when a friendship ends. It also explores the important role of mentoring. This book is a gold mine! Well worth reading

5.0 out of 5 stars Very good treatment of mothers daughters and women friends September 14, 2013
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
I read this a number of years ago, it is a delightful, insightful work on how mothers impact their daughters. I especially like the thoughts about how women bonded decades ago, in a healthy, supporting way and that so many of us are now, just too busy to get that close. If you have a mother who left you, hurt you, or tried but wasn't much of a mom to you, i suggest you read it. you may find help.

5.0 out of 5 stars Every woman should read this! May 22, 2011
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
This is an insightful book explaining the complexities of relationships among women. It is one of the best I have read on this subject. A woman's life is greatly enriched by her relationships with other women, and Ms. Hunter explains why in clear and concise ways.
