The Compaq A900 serves as a color copier, color printer, color scanner, and fax, making it a must for any home office. The printer is capable of speeds of up to eight pages per minute (black) and four pages per minute (color) at a maximum resolution of 1,200 dots per inch. Print out a variety of documents from reports to presentations.

The fax machine is capable of 300 dots per inch and can store up to 30 faxed pages in resident memory, in case you run out of paper or if you want to do another fax job. The speed dialer stores up to 70 numbers so you can send out a single fax to multiple recipients conveniently.

If you want to do black-and-white or color copying, the A900 is fully capable. With a resolution of up to 1,200 dots per inch, you can make as much as 99 copies of the original. There are also contrast, exposure, and size reduction/enlargement controls.

You can also scan images accurately with the A900's scanner, with a 24-bit color depth and 256 gray-scale level. The scanner's optical resolution is 300 dots per inch, but the A900 is capable of up to 4,800 dpi via special software without any quality loss.
