Requires part number FA119A#AC3 (the Ipaq cover pack) to work. This part is included with the 3800 and 3900, but not with the 3600 and 3700 series Ipaqs. Adds bulk, but that's exactly the point - the padding is what absorbs the shock of a fall or of jostling in a briefcase. Don't expect to stick an Ipaq enclosed by this case in a shirt pocket, though.

may be i got a defective one.

there is nothing inside to hold the ipaq. its just a 3 fold cover. IPAQ comes with a much better case when you buy it new
