Compaq's Image Color Matching technology provides accurate color, so what you see on your computer screen is what you get on your printed page.
The Compaq IJ1200 color ink-jet printer allows you to print from any PC on your network and conveniently alerts others when cartridges are being changed. Compatible with the Windows platform, the IJ1200 works with both parallel and USB ports and comes with a bonus software package.

After working with far more sophisticated "all-in-one" printers, I have settled on the Compaq IJ1200 as my favorite everyday printer. I love the way it notifies me of the ink levels, so that I do not start a complicated project only to run out of ink in the middle of a printing. The IJ1200 prints in beautiful color, is easy to load, and works well with my Compaq computer. I do use it for photographs, and it is quite acceptable, without the expense of a photo-quality printer. Because the IJ1200 is a dual head printer, there is no need to switch ink cartridges, which I find annoying. The printing program allows adjustment for a myriad of paper types and sizes. I would recommend this printer to anyone looking for quality and dependability at a reasonable price.

Best choice I made, I wasn't too sure about gettin a Compaq printer, but when I did, I see what they say : "Buy Brand and get Quality" Enough said, you get what ytou pay for. Lesson I learned the hard way with my old EPSON.

I love this printer. Great price for excellent work. Only drawback is very high priced replacement ink cartridges. Friends tell me that refilled cartridges do not work well on this machine.
