The HP StorageWorks MSA Hub 2/3 is a low-cost interconnect designed for clustering or low cost high speed attachment of two servers to the msa1000 an entry-level storage area network (SAN) solution. The MSA Hub 2/3 is a 3-port Fiber Channel Arbitrated Loop hub that is mounted on a blade that easily installs inside the msa1000 storage unit saving valuable rack space. Two of these hubs may be installed for redundancy within the msa1000. The MSA Hub 2/3 is not cascadable. The hub presents the user with two SFP ports for simple direct attachment to two single or clustered servers without having to purchase an external interconnect device.
