As the other reviewer said this is *not* an ethernet/phone combo. It is just a retractable phone cable and I would have never paid $20 (after shipping) for it had I known that.

Although this item is advertised as an ethernet/phone combo device, it is not. It is simply a retractable phone cord with an RJ-11 (phone)connector. It performs just fine in this capacity, but look elsewhere if you want to purchase an "all in one" gizmo. This won't do it for you as there is no way to use this baby to get on your LAN
