I browsed the world atlas maps in a bookstore and find this one fit my needs the best. It offers continental (asia, europe, north/south america, ...) graph with various colorshades for population, climate, literacy, GDP, life-expentency....also global graph. Comparative is the best essence of this atlas.

Recommend to buy $20 Financial Times World Desk Reference 2005 (Financial Times World Desk Reference) by Andrew Heritage too because it offers more comprehensive data and each countries. Excellent graph and data.

This atlas provides current information on countries, demographics, statistics, and so much more. Many maps, charts and succinct text. A great gift for the world history student or the reader that enjoys "traveling the world" from an armchair! From a researcher's standpoint, very useful in multiple ways. A small price to pay for an excellent item!

The atlas was all as described. It is 8 1/2" x 11" but is easy to read and find what you need to find. I am very pleased with the purchase.

Covers a lot of interesting areas of comparison. Nicely done. Easy to read. Useful for research.

COMPACT ENOUGH TO FIT IN ANY STORAGE SPACE AND CONTAINS EXCELLENT DATA AND MAPS.

We were looking to update our current Atlas - this didn't do it. Our current Atlas has far more maps, but not the current and new countries/labels/divisions. The new Atlas did not help up with this issue.

The item was purchased for my daughter's college-level geography class, and my understanding is that this product has been an extremely useful resource.

This atlas was exactly what I needed. I had to have it for a geography class and it had all the right elements. I will use it afterwards as well. I couldn't have asked for anything better.

I really wanted a book of maps. This Atlas has a lot of information maps rather then details of countries and cities. It seems good for what it is.

I only ordered this book because it was recommended to go with the other textbook I needed. After I ordered it and got it I found that my first assignment was actually in this book. It was cheaper here than anywhere else I looked. I am happy with the purchase and will look here in the future for my textbooks.
