This DVD is made for newer model DVD players only. If you have an older DVD player, like I do, then it doesn't work in it. It is a great concept and a wonderful method of helping so many people of all ages but the DVD didn't incorporate much of the methods and positions used in the total Compassionate Touch program and for $40 I would have thought it to have a lot more information and I was disappointed. Buy the book from the woman who founded the technique and get a great amount of information and instructions and pictures. Alot cheaper and well worth every penny of it. The book is called "From the Heart Through the Hands" and it is by Dawn Nelson. A great book and it will tell you all you need to know at a fraction of the cost. Get the book, you will love it and it will give you the desire to learn more and do the techniques on anyone. Great book and great technique.

I found this DVD to be educational, inspirational and a very helpful tool. Its become a great guide to observe how the techniques are done properly. Anyone can have the confidence to be able to deliver these strokes without having to have had prior experience. They're easy to do and the recipient totally enjoys receiving!

This DVD is a great addition to any Massage Therapist's tool box or any other profession serving the elderly or those receiving palliative or hospice care. The techniques are easy to learn and truly aid in bringing a deeper connection to the giver and receiver of human touch. Classic, basic and definitely what the world needs more of.

I really liked your references to mindfulness and being present. I think it's particularly important for the elderly who in so many ways become increasingly invisible to a lot of society, especially those in nursing homes. E.C. LMSW, medical social worker.
