Not the 48 but the 30 series i think. Just so everybody knows, bose units are capable of IR control, but they are set to RF from factory with issued RF remotes. They never tell anybody because they want you to buy those ridiculous remotes over and over again. Go into your bose system setup (on tv screen) and find the remote or control setup. It may be called IR control. Can't remember, it was a while ago i did this. The unit can be set for RF control, IR control, or can be used to emit IR from an emitter port in the rear of unit if you wished to use the factory remote to control other items. Set to IR control. When setting up the harmony, type in "Bose Lifestyle 48". It gets more complicated and frustrating when setting up zone 2 if you have one. You'd type in "Bose Lifestyle 48 (zone 2)". Also, the lifestyle systems are listed as "mini-systems"...(sorry, bose doesn't make "REAL" systems--hey had to get my bose jab in there somewhere!) the harmony software uses this for all your different functions and that works very well. Good luck. It's a little tricky to get to work correctly with the multi-zone control. If you have only one zone, you should be all set.
