I've always been a die-hard HP toner consumer. I never thought the miniscule savings were worth the risk of screwing up my printer, poor print quality, etc etc. But recently, with the price of the printers coming down and yet toner going up, way up, I reached my limit. I hunted around and found several compatible cartridges and decided to take a risk on this one. I bought this 2-pack for less than half the price of 1 (one!) original HP cartridge. In other words, each of these cartridges costs 75% LESS than the original OEM cartridge.

Results? I'm sold. Best I can tell, my LaserJet M1212nf sees this cartridge as an HP original. It doesn't throw any errors, either on the little device screen or via the software. Prints look perfect as always. Literally no discernable difference in performance between HP and this, and I'm pretty particular.

We'll see what page count I get out of each of these, but unless it's only 25% of the already pitiful HP cartridge page count, you won't hear me complain.

UPDATE (JULY 2012): I haven't done exact page counts but by my estimation these cartridges last every bit as long as the HPs. Zero issues whatsoever. HP who?

Was a little concerned about getting a remanufactured toner cartridge for my brand-new HP LaserJep P1102w printer, but that certainly changed when I got the cartridge. Not only did I *not* get an error message when I put it in, but the quality of the print was the same as if I had bought an actual HP cartridge. I am very pleased.

I note that another reviewer had problems with the quality of the print. It's possible that reviewer simply got a defective cartridge, and if that's the case, I would've returned it to the seller. After all, this physical reality is not perfect, and unfortunately, there will always be a certain number of defective cartridges produced.

This is the second time I have used Amazon.com to purchase the 2 pack "HP LaserJet M1212nf" ink cartridges and I have been very pleased with the product. It is easy to install and the quality is great. The best part is the price. I looked at other websites and Amazon (by far) was the cheapest and most cost effective.

Purchased to use in an HP 1102w printer

Cartridge would not seat properly, after several attempts of insertion and removal.

Subsequently any paper trying to print, simply jammed.

Returned to Amazon.

My printer is used mainly for shipping labels, I print a two USPS labels on each 8.5 x 11 page.

In May 2011, ordered 2 cartridges via a different site, Mwave, for $28 after the original HP Laser 1120w cartridge ran out. Finished both by January 2012, so I only got 4 months out of each cartridge. I would rate each around 1,000 pages.

In January 2012, decided to try this Amazon deal which is even cheaper and has fairly good reviews. Woah, in July I finally finished 1 cartridge which is 6 months of use. I've had a ton more business than the previous year so I'd rate this cartridge at around 1500 pages. So, provided the source is the same, I will continue to purchase from Amazon.

TIP: Once you start noticing the printing becoming uneven in darkness(sign to replace toner), remove the cartridge and shake it around. This loosens up the ink powder from every nook and cranny from within and allows more pages to be printed. This will render a few hundred more pages out of each cartridge.

TIP II: There are different Amazon vendors selling different products. This is why there is a huge variance in reviews regarding quality of this catridge. This review is for cartridges from Cartridge-Xpress. Not the cheapest Amazon seller, but they have my vote. Click the link "30 new from $14.01" and find the right vendor.

I replaced the factory starter cartridge on a new HP printer with this "Compatible" cartridge. The print quality was so light it looked like a cartridge that was almost out of toner. I replaced it with a factory cartridge, and got good quality.

These cartridges are so bad that one of my co-workers swapped one of our cartridges that had been declared empty in and it printed better. The print quality is very light and constantly looks like it's about to run out. My advice? Spend the money and get the real cartridges.

Bought the twin pack back in December. Just open and print several pages. You can barely see what was printed. It seems like there is no toner. I turned up the print density to the highest and still the same. I tried the other cartridge, it was the same. How can they sell this stuff? DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY.

I ordered two cartridges for a P1102W laser jet printer. My printer kept sending me messages that the cartridge was not HP. I have used other reconditioned cartridges and not had this problem. When I finally got the printer to "accept" it, the first cartridge from this batch started leaving black marks on the outside edge of the page and when I removed it from the printer, ink flew out onto my new tan carpet. When I replaced it with the second, that one printed about 100 pages, made a lot of noise in my printer and then quit printing. Not very impressed.
