My drum arrived in a timely fashion and in great shape. It installed easily and works just fine.

Users should be aware that the drum counter needs to be reset for the blinking light to go off. With the front cover open, hold down on the reset button. All the lights will flash for a few seconds. Shut the cover and you should be all set.

I'll see you in another 12,000 pages. :)

I was a bit disconcerted when the unit arrived in a box labeled "Laser Toner Cartridge" -- I was certain that I had ordered a drum unit. I opened the box and fingered the sealed plastic bag enclosed therein. It felt like the drum carrier, so I opened the bag. Indeed, it was the requested item. The replacement is visually identical to the old unit that I removed from my MFC unit. I installed the replacement -- referring to the on-line manual for my printer, since no instructions were included with the replacement. Thus far I have printed a single page with no visible artifacts. I cannot vouch for the long-term reliability, but in the short term it does what is expected. As long as packaging and directions are not part of your expectations.

I decided to try this knock off instead of spending $75 on an original. The drum unit produced a ghost image and the print quality was worse than it is with the drum unit I need replaced. I contacted the seller who said it must be defective so they provided a return label and they shipped a new drum unit. The second drum unit produced a lighter ghost image and an even worse print quality. The seller provided another return label and I, hopefully, will be getting a refund. I would not recommend purchasing this item. If I could rate it 0 (zero) I would.

Drum works great and saved me a great deal of money. Would recommend this product and company to anybody looking to save money on a replacement drum for a Brother printer.

After using this drum for about 2 days (maybe 100 copies) it started retaining images & overprinting them on subsequent copies made. Just a very poor quality product in my opinion.

After about 300 pages, the roller is shot and creating duplicate ghost images. This was a complete waste of money.

I bought this product because I believed it would be compatable with my Brother MFC 7820N Laser printer. It works, but prints so lightly that the documents can barely be read, and don't try to receive a fax, you can't read it at all!!! In fact, when I try to receive a fax, most of the pages are so light, they are blank! I am going to ask for a refund or a replacement drum because I work in the legal field and cannot be trying to file very pale printed documents with the court or receiving blank faxes from my attorneys!

I read everyone's reviews on this item before buying it, so I knew what to do when I needed to install. It worked like a champ. And the price was so much better than the Brother brand.

This unit was as shown. In my case it didn't correct my problem.
But the seller sent what was ordered I would use them again.

I figured this would be a good alternative to the OEM drum cartridge on my HL-2040, being that the drum cartridge alone costs virtually the same amount as a new printer (which includes a drum and toner cartridge!). I was wrong.

I installed the unit with a new toner cartridge, and tried printing. The page came out completely covered in grey toner, with ghost images of the printed image all down the page. I tried printing several pages to see if it was a problem that might clear up - no luck. I tried cleaning the corona wire - nothing. I've tried about 30 pages on this new drum, and every page is just as bad as the previous. What a waste of money. I'll keep to Brother OEM drums next time.
