This review is from: 2pk brand new Compatible 797-0 797-M 797-Q Postage Meter red fluorescent ink for use in Pitney Bowes MailStation, K700, K7M0, MailStation 2 machines. (Electronics)
I was a little apprehensive about putting a "non" Pitney Bowes ink cartridge into my postage machine, but for the cost savings, I finally gave it a try! They work like a dream and for a fraction of the cost!

These "compatible" cartridges are much less expensive than those sold by Pitney Bowes -- and other reviews indicated that they worked well in the PB meter -- so I decided to give them a try.One of the two cartridges I received was completely dry. Although in a sealed plastic pouch, there was no ink left in the cartridge. The second cartridge seemed to have ink, but when I put it in the postage meter -- carefully following the PB instructions -- it got stuck. Can't get it in, can't get it out. And the meter doesn't work. I'm having fun negotiating with Pitney Bowes on the repair of the meter. Not surprisingly they say that I am responsible for any damages caused by using ink cartridges that are not approved by them. Fortunately we are two months away from the end of our rental contract term with PB, so will simply be returning the jammed meter to them -- and will hope they accept it back without penalty. I am moving to Stamps.com -- I can print the stamps with a simple Dymo thermal printer. Based on my experience, I recommend you DO NOT BUY these ink cartridges. Not worth all the trouble.

After spending $127.00 for 2 cartridges from Pitney Bowes website I decided look for something cheaper. I was very skeptical about trying something that was only $14.44 because as they say you get what you pay for. After reading the reviews of others I decided to give it a try. I am extremely satisfied! This product works just as well as the $127.00 cartridges. I will admit I had a little problem at first...I put it in backwards :) After I figured out my mistake I am back to running postage without any problems at all. Thank you for a quality product at a very very reasonable price.

We ordered this cartridge expecting it to be compatible with the cartridge that fits my pitney bowes postage meter - it did not and actually got stuck in my machine - i had to ship my postage meter back to pitney bowes and order a new machine. this cartridge is not compatible with 797-M Laura

I know its not illegal, but everywhere I have looked to purchase the exact same item the prices were ridiculous. Even store brands for one, not two, ink cartridges were at least $50. The USPS cartridges ran about the same. These work PERFECTLY, are the exact same cartridge, and last just as long as the others. Anyone using a Pitney Bowes Mailstation 2 would be either an idiot or just love wasting money to not buy these!

It seems to work ok. They send me a second set after the first pack had one that worked and one that didnt. Customer service was great.

I was a little skeptic about this recycled product to be honest, but figured "Hey if it doesn't work, I only wasted a few bucks." I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the ink. It works perfectly and I only paid a fraction of the actual cost! I will continue to purchase from this seller.

Ink sometimes leaked from the cartridges when I changed them and the plastic frame on top is missing campared to a brand name overpriced ink cartridge. Once it finally gets started it works just as well, though.

One Good, One Bad. A Common Theme?,

I was reading through other people's reviews on this item AFTER I purchased it. Seems like the 1 good and 1 bad is a common theme. Perhaps the sellers or manufacturer's of this product should consider some more indepth quality inspection.THE LOVE: I love the price, it blows Pitney Bowes out of the water. I love that it's Prime eligible, got it quickly! I love how easy it is to install and use, I only had to cycle twice through the ink setup function. NO LOVE: I got one good and one bad. The bad one had ink all over the packaging (inside the plastic and not the surronding box). It's easy to see and I don't understand why they wouldn't reject it in their quality inspection. I did not doc the product down for this, but the customer service wasn't good. They were unresponsive when I contacted them and I have yet to resolve the issue of the bad ink cartridge. I did leave seller feedback on this item and if you had a bad experience with them, I would suggest you do the same. TO SUM IT UP: So with only 50% of the product working as described this product is "OK" and deserves a 3-star rating in my opinion. I will continue to buy from them as the one I have is more reliable than other offbrand cartridges for the pitney bowes machine. I may change my mind if I keep receiving one good and one bad. Good luck to you. |
