I've bought AGPTEK batteries for both MAC and IBM, and even an older DELL notebook. The product is excellent quality, virtually indistinguishable from original branded product, and performs as well as or better than the originals. I highly recommend them for all your notebook replacement needs. I upgraded my IBM Thinkpad T41 with this nine-cell pack AND Windows 7, and now I get an incredible 6-9 hours of USEFUL battery life!

This is an affordable fix if your original factory battery is giving you no more than 20 minutes per charge like mine. The fit isn't perfect, but close enough...I don't hear the "click" or feel that it slides all the way in. It seems like it's a hair too wide/thick to fit in the slot. But, that's not a big deal.

The important issue is usage time with the battery. So far, I'm able to get about 5 hours on a full charge. But, rather than let it drain all the way down below 30% before charging it up, I'm charging up more frequently now. I think this may prolong the life of the battery. I always drained my original battery before plugging it into the wall and think that may have contributed to it's early demise.

Keep in mind that this battery is larger than the stock battery and weighs more. So, the back of your laptop will protrude out a bit and it will be heavier to lug around.

The time it took from when I placed my order to when I received it was less than a week. Everything was packaged well: antistatic bag, inner box, packaging material to prevent damage in transit (not much of the material was used), and the outer box.

Product came on time and worked as advertised. It does stick out the back of your laptop, but you can still lay the screen down flat. Getting around 4.5 hours on my R52 (1.73MHz Pentium M, 2GB RAM, 320GB 5400rpm drive, 802.11a/b/g) with everything on, and a mouse plugged in. I get about 6 hours with the brightness down, no wifi and nothing plugged into USB (devices draw battery power, too).

Be sure to follow the instructions on power cycling the new battery. You'll thank yourself in the long run.

The IBM battey information (not the windows battery meter) claims 4 1/2 hours on a T40 with standard power settings and wireless running - not bad.

Update Jan 2011:
grabbed the notebook for a websession and was surprised that it held a full charge over what seems to be about 3 months since last connection to power. Not bad.

This battery rocks! I have an IBM R51, running a Pentium III 1500MHz processor. While I don't know how long my laptop will last before the battery gives up, I have surfed the net for over 2hrs and still had over 50% left on the charge. Makes me feel like my old computer is new again. Actually better than new, because my original battery never lasted so long.

It fits in my T40 well except one of the lock cannot lock completely.

With normal load (web, word, pdf, etc...) it last more than 4 hours. Pretty good and satisfied so far.

Good value and still working well one month into use. It arrived quickly and in good condition. The description of being deeper (sticking out the back) than the standard capacity battery was important information and was correct. As noted by another reviewer, there's a slight gap between the battery and back of the computer on the right side. It's cosmetic; the battery seats firmly. The computer estimates the battery life between 2.5 and 6 hours depending on how intense is the work I'm doing. Experience so far is 4 hours with capacity still left.

I haven't had this battery but for a few months, so I don't know about its long term durability. However, it did fit my IBM ThinkPad T-42p perfectly and its price was very reasonable. Delivery was very quick.

Battery does not last the number of hours advertised. It lasts 3.30 hrs for me. So I don't say product is great but just ok.

This battery works well with my IBM (Lenovo) T41 as a 7200mAh substitute for Part #O8K8197, FRU 08K8201 or 08K8198. Matching the equivalent P/N's, ASM #'s and FRU #'s of the battery to the notebook makes my eyes cross. I don't know which numbers are most important, whether all or just one number have to apply to my notebook model, etc. I finally decided to try this battery because it is so affordable that I wasn't risking much. Although none of the numbers on the battery itself matched those for my notebook, it fit just like the original battery, arrived nearly fully charged, and works great. Now I can watch a movie all the way through with this battery, whereas I couldn't with my OEM 6600mAh battery. I recommend it, if it is compatible with the application of course. Good luck.
