Since getting my first blister while hiking, I'm never NOT used this product going forward. And I've also not had another blister.
I tried other products and did an extensive internet search for the right product and this is it!
I recently developing a very small blister while playing volleyball for 6 hours. Small enough that I let it heal through the week. Unfortunately I went on a 17 mile hike the weekend after playing volleyball and the blister came back, bigger a better than before. I put my last Compeed on it and it worked great. Unfortunately I went on a river float that had been organized for months the next day and the Compeed was covered in water for 4 hrs. After 3.5hrs it finally came loose off the blister.
Since then I've been working with the Bandaid blister brand and they simply fall short (and off). They are smaller, come off easier due to moisture and overall is not the best product out there for blister relief while participating in high output activities. Stick with Compeed's if you can get your hands on them.
It did help with pain. I could still tell the blister was there, but it was masked much more than just applying a band-aid to my heel. I found that this lasted through most of the day. It only wore off near the end.
With Compeed, I feel like my blister healed faster. Its very cushioned, so it kept the back of my shoes from being able to run against the blister. Definitely a staple for any one to have in their home for themselves, spouse, or kid.
