This product is the replacement for Band-Aid's discontinued Blister Block. It's perfect for the heel and protects with a thicker gel like substance that you do not get with the Blister Stick. I would recommend this to anyone (not just hikers), who suffer from heels blisters.

Since getting my first blister while hiking, I'm never NOT used this product going forward. And I've also not had another blister.

I tried other products and did an extensive internet search for the right product and this is it!

I was alpine ski touring for a week in Switzerland. I xixed shell and boot liner - a bad combo which led to 4 quarter-sized blisters - 2 on each foot on each side of my ankle. A friend on the trip had Compeed's and they worked wonders keeping the blisters covered and sealed away from my sweaty ski socks and allowing me to continue on the trip (despite each step being painful). Had the exposed blisters become infected it would have turned into a serious health emergency in a foreign country.

I recently developing a very small blister while playing volleyball for 6 hours. Small enough that I let it heal through the week. Unfortunately I went on a 17 mile hike the weekend after playing volleyball and the blister came back, bigger a better than before. I put my last Compeed on it and it worked great. Unfortunately I went on a river float that had been organized for months the next day and the Compeed was covered in water for 4 hrs. After 3.5hrs it finally came loose off the blister.

Since then I've been working with the Bandaid blister brand and they simply fall short (and off). They are smaller, come off easier due to moisture and overall is not the best product out there for blister relief while participating in high output activities. Stick with Compeed's if you can get your hands on them.

This product is simply incredible, I bought it in England and have not been able to find a comparable product here in the US - why can't we get them here? They're simply amazing comforting the blister area and removing the fluid to where you have no sensitivity.

My husband used these when he walked the Camino in Spain and it saved him! Going again in August and he already has them packed.

Discovered this product in Italy in 1998 and have NEVER found anything better for blisters. Marketed in US briefly and then copied badly. Never visit Europe without stocking up because could not find in local stores. Happy I can find it on Amazon. So ... no more reason to visit Europe is there?

I think Compeed Blister Plasters are the best thing going for blister relief on my feet. I was introduced to them in 2006 by fellow hiking friends from England when I was hiking the Appalachian Trail. I have tried several other products or techniques to protect and promote healing of my blisters, none were very successful and one technique even made things worse. It was remarkable how long the Compeeds stayed on the blister. There is a procedure when applying the Compeed that ensures longevity that includes cleaning the area with alcohol, heating the Compeed against your body to warm it up and ensuring the area is dry. In following this procedure I have been able to keep many of the plasters on for up to 5 days while hiking in demanding terrain, in a very moist environment (in my sweaty boots). I would highly recommend this product to anyone looking for blister relief. Especially considering the reduction of pain from the blister when this product is used.

I used these when I did a long walk across Europe. My personal experience was that I could not get them to stay on. I walked between 10 and 12 miles per day and would end up getting a LOT of blisters. You are supposed to put the compeed on and leave it there, but by the end of the day it would nearly be pulled off just by walking. This was not the same experience others I met along the way had.

A European friend gave me a couple of these bandages when my shoes had created blisters on both heals and it provided instant relief. I was able to continue wearing the shoes that caused the blisters with absolutely no pain! The bandages also last several days before they need to be removed. I have now started using them proactively...when I know I am going to have a long day on my feet in heels, I will place the bandages in the morning to prevent the formation of blisters. This is a great product!
