5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant resource for modern gaming
Even though I'm not a fan of the palladium system and do not play it, I found this book to be an excellent source of information regarding weapons you would find in a modern setting. Lots of info is provided for each weapon, and the penetration value of each weapon is a great way of scaling weapons to fit pretty much any system.

3.0 out of 5 stars Outdated, but stull a great sourcebook for the Palladium game system
Expanded inventory of weaponry, for use with any palladium game system. As well as tables for deviding up hitpoints/sdcs to various parts of the body.

The weapons covered in it range from tiny hold-out pistols to very big and serious miniguns, as well as grenades, body armour, ammo types etc.

2.0 out of 5 stars Tons of weapons. Tons of inaccuracies., July 24, 2009
This review is from: Compendium of Contemporary Weapons: Super-Sourcebook for All Game Systems (Paperback)
As usual, the staff at Palladium did little to no actual research regarding the weapons used in their games. All the damage stats are woefully underrated and the ranges are tragically overrated.
However, there are a ton of different weapons and their descriptions contained in this book. There is also body armor and a few vehicles.
Zeleznik's cover is pretty cool and the interior art is stark but accurate.
I wouldn't pay more than around $8 for this book unless your just trying to complete a collection.

This book is a great book if your looking for a ton of new weapons and more realistic injury rules for pretty much any Role Playing Game System. I have used it for rifts, and Dungeons and Dragons. It's an excellent book and I reccomend it for anyone who plays RPG's with lots of firepower.
