Nice primer, May 1, 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: Competitive Intelligence (Hardcover)
This was the first book I read that was dedicated strictly to CI. It turned out to be a good starting point since it covers much territory quickly, which is both a strength and a weakness. I liked the layout in that it is easy to read the chapter materials. My only issue with it was that it has a clear European focus and all of my work has to do with American companies and mostly American dominated industries. This isn't the authors fault but more my own as I should have read the preface more closely before purchasing it. Despite my error, I still think this was a good start to my now growing CI book collection.

A Competitive Intelligence Primer for Global Operators, December 20, 2008
This review is from: Competitive Intelligence (Hardcover)
This is a well thought-out book, with a layout that is absolutely fabulous for any level of CI practitioner or enthusiast. The book is divided into small chunks that make it very easy to read and follow. It is very comprehensive and yet, precise, with only about 228 straight-to-the-point pages. For those that want further study, it provides a list of additional materials under competition, marketing warfare, competitive intelligence, industrial espionage, analysis techniques and knowledge management. However, it is essential to understand beforehand that unlike most other books on CI, this book is not US-specific (Nwankama Nwankama).
