3.0 out of 5 stars Eater knows Repetition
The first time i heard Eater was off a little 45 record, the first was song "thinking of the USA", i gave it a good review.I was unaware of this bands'age nor did i care. It was a good song.
I gave listen to more of their songs and I was disappointed, due to the fact I expected much more. You can expect a lot of repetition as most all their other songs,as...

this is a comprehensive eater collection spanning their all too brief output. i have lots of this stuff on vinyl, and while i certainly miss the nicks, pops, and cracks associated with my vinyl version of 'the album' (it's one of those records i listened to so often that i still hear those pops!) to hear this stuff on a digital release doesn't bother me in the least. great cover songs and a definite nod to alice cooper ('anne' could be a punk version of 'refrigerator heaven')eater knocked out a ton of quality hits in their own right. give 'lock it up' or 'no brains' a quick listen and you'll see what i'm talking about. this stuff is a must have in any serious record collection- in any format- and the comprehensiveness of this collection make it worth the price- whatever it may be.

I gave listen to more of their songs and I was disappointed, due to the fact I expected much more. You can expect a lot of repetition as most all their other songs,as they sound the same and are dull. Young age or not, this band was in my view a"one chord wonder"...this band rates'Three'stars Only.

Hmmm... alright. First off, it was DEE generate, not Dee Dee Generate, you're thinking of the ramones. Second off, he was 13. Get your facts straight, eh! Anyhow, Eater really was one of the most brilliant, overlooked UK bands of the time. Their oldest member being 16, their lyrics and music were way beyond what one would expect of a person that age. Witty, funny, and pretty, this is definately a cd worth buying.
