5.0 out of 5 stars You'd be hard pressed to find better!, February 24, 2001
This review is from: Complementary and Alternative Veterinary Medicine: Principles and Practice (Hardcover)
What a wonderful book! With chapters on every kind of alternative/complimentary med you can think of, this book lets you know what the thought behind the process is. Now you understand! Now you can choose! I found this book to be a bit tough for the layman but certainly worth the possible struggle to understand some of the terminology. I thought this book was so worthwhile that I bought it for my traditional vet and he thought the material helped to build a bridge of understanding between the practioner of traditional medicine and the alternative practice. If you're looking for facts as presented by the practioners of alternative therpaies, this book shouldn't be missed. Yes, it's pricey but it offers a reference that no other book can beat!

5.0 out of 5 stars A must read for any open-minded veterinarian., July 17, 1998
This review is from: Complementary and Alternative Veterinary Medicine: Principles and Practice (Hardcover)
This well written book provides an easy to read overview of a wide variety of non-conventional therapies. Each chapter is written by someone with experience in that specific area. References and suggested readings are provided for those who wish to investigate a modality in more depth. While it is not an instruction manual for alternative medicine, this book provides enough information to help a veterinarian advise a client interested in seeking other options for their animals. It is a valuable reference book for any verterinarian planning to practice in the next millenium.
