This review is from: Complete Alien Omnibus (Paperback)
This book contains the novelizations of the three first movies, all written by Alan Dean Foster (not as I first thought that the book of "Alien" came first than the movie). "Alien", was not 'based on the screeplay by...' (meaning that is based upon the story, but not the film) as the other two, being a little different from what the movie is. "Aliens" and "Alien 3" are based upon the movie, in spite of that the third one actualy is a little different from the movie itself in some aspects (for example, the alien in this novelizations does not offspring from a dog), resulting that "Aliens" is the one most very loyal to the movie.
This book is a must have for the hardcore fan of "Aliens", since it goes around other aspects that would be difficult to show in the films. It is also a great reading for the average fan, since Alan Dean Foster is such a talented writer. And besides, are three books in one. |
