5.0 out of 5 stars Very complete - answered so many questions for me , January 22, 2007
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I was very pleased with this purchase - much more so than I thought. I've purchased a good many books on food combining, but this was the most thorough by far. Before I really got through the bulk of the book, I had planned on contacting the author with a few questions I've had for a long time. The funny thing is, the more time I spent with the book, all of the answers were provided to the questions! Really awesome. Kathryn, you truly do rock!!! And thank you -- from someone whose health is important to her, and feels your support in the pages. It's obvious that you took special care to be as open as you are and in your sharing so much about food combining.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not so complete, February 22, 2007

(REAL NAME)
The problem with The Complete Book of Food Combining is that it is far from complete. Lots of material in this book is common knowledge to people who know about nutrition. I was most disappointed, however, by the lack of new information that helps to do food combining in a much less restrictive and more enjoyable manner. I read a book by Marilyn Diamond at least ten years ago that provided some very helpful info such as being able to combine berries with food w/o a problem and being able to combine some fruit with meals in some situations. This info was not included in the book, and I did not find anything new in this book that I didn't already know. In fact, I found it was less informative than Harvey and Marilyn Diamond's original food combining book, Fit for Life, that I read decades ago.

4.0 out of 5 stars Better than most, October 20, 2007
I have read several books on food combining, including the original one. This guide is much simpler and easier to follow for most of the program. But, it is not a diet if you are only looking to lose weight. It is a way of eating that enables your body to process food efficiently and more effectively absorb the nutrients it needs to stay healthy. Once you are on this program, you will find that it is easy to follow and your general outlook and appearance will also improve as it clears toxins out of your system faster. I would caution you to drink a lot of water at first to help your body adapt to this new way of eating and thinking. There are still some sticking points in this program but it is up to you to make your individual adjustments.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Complete Book of Food Combining: A great book!
This book shares a lot of information that is new to me, and I have read a lot of general nutrition books! It is easy to read and not preachy at all, unlike some nutritian books.
