About the Author
Jessica Houdret has a passion for herbs. She grew herbs commercially for ten years and ran workshops on their many uses. She was on the council of the British Herb Trade Association for several years, and has served as Administrator. Jessica is a regular contributor of articles on herbs to national publications and has lectured at summer schools and plant centres. She has written books on cooking with herbs, herb gardening and the history of herbs, and is author of The Home Apothecary, a guide to growing herbs and making your own herbal treatments for common ailments.

I loved this book from the moment I opened it. It offers so much in light of using, growing, and researching herbs that I have personally selected this book for my personal library for my usage. It simply is wonderful and I haven't been able to find any other book on herbs like it. I would recommend this book to everyone if they are serious about using herbs for medicinal, aromatic or culinary use. I love the real pictures and the descriptions of the herbs and growing conditions as well as the other features the author has added to this book.
