This was the first book out of this series that I purchased for my 6 year old son who was bored in school. I now own over 13 books in this series, which I use for my 6 year old and 4 year old. The books are excellent education workbooks. They contain literally hundreds of pages of learning activites. The pages are very interesting (even I have learned some new things!),colorful and creative. My son particularly enjoys the many math board games included in this workbook. It is an excellent and fun way to practice math skills. My children sit for hours in the afternoon and on weekends doing these workbooks...they don't even realize that they are really doing "schoolwork"!

The best thing about this book: my child likes it! He likes the activities and has learned a lot in the process. The colorful pictures and rewards attracted his attention. He seldom does anything for that long.

With his interest aroused by this book, we also let my son do some formal math (such as the excellent weekly math at Beestar.org). The two sides combined make a solid, systematic learning. As an interest-provoking activity book, this one does a fine job. I highly recommend it.
