If According to Hoyle by Moorehead was card-game bible when I was a child, this book was certainly a new testament.

I really didn't fit in well with other kids, so I had nothing much to do. So, I studies solitaires. But I had 150 ways to play solitaire, and all that book did was confuse me.

When I found this book at KayBee many years ago, I was most impressed. It's the clearest book on cardgames that I have ever read. They're even thoughtful enough to create two games, Joker Klondike and Joker Canfield.

This book will clarify almost any game, and I still pull it down from the shelf. In fact, I think I'll pull it out right after I've finished posting.

I find this book to be very helpful in learning different solitaire games. Some games don't include layout diagrams but the instructions are well done. I highly recommend it for a beginner solitaire player.

I bought this book so I could learn different ways to play solitaire. It has pictures and plenty of instructions. I do wish it had a few more pictures so I could see how they were saying to lay them out but all in all it is pretty good.

I like the way this book explains the games. They are concise and the preface of the box gives a good description of the terms used to describe the games. This is nice to give you something to refer back to. Also, the illustrations of each layout is very nice.

Ordered this for my brother after scanning through a dozen books on card games. I had it sent to him, he lives 800 miles away from me, he has used this book a lot. Great choice!!

If you are buying this for a Senior please note the printing is VERY small. Actually the whole book is one of those 'pocket size' books and feels and looks really cheap.

It has several card games, it is awesome to and extent and at the time it was published one of the best Books on the subject. However, Lucky 13 and other books are more illustrated and Informative. this has many layouts and rules, but some of the games, They dont have any Illustrations leaving you to figure it out yourself. it Tells alot and is very educational on card games, but is also very difficult to comprehend. If you buy it then you are a smarter individual than i to Comprehend it as well...
