A great history lesson on the early days of Drag Racing. You will be surprised at the names. The very beginning of the careers of some of the biggest names in the sport. Covers Stock, Super Stock, Modified, etc. Good book

Great Book, sound content, accurate account. This is just a small little pocket book, so be aware. A larger hardcover book with more pictures would make it PERFECT.

If you're a junkie for vintage drag racing, this is a must-have. It adds stats and info the new books don't, from the era it happened in, not a recount. My only gripe is I wish it had more photos, but the ones it does have you won't see elsewhere. Getting stock eliminator setup tips from the legendary Jere Stahl more than makes up for that! Still 5 stars. If you like any of the current drag racing hitory books out there, you'll want this one too. Matter of fact, if you're a racing history buff of almost any kind, lyle Kenyon Engel probably wrote a book about it, and his works are fairly detailed.
