This is One Good Book!,

I have read AD Livingston's book and, although he is a good author, longed for something else. I ordered this one before it was released (on blind faith), and when I got it, I could not believe all the information covered! It is excellent! This book not only covers the making of lures and artificial baits, which is what I was looking for, but it also goes into rod building and net building, mold making and all terminal tackle I can think of. I highly recommend this book!

On behalf of the editorial staff at TackleMaking.com, I would like to give C. Boyd Preiffer a big thumbs up on this book! It's packed with useful information on making soft plastics, rods, lures, wire baits and other miscellaneous fishing tackle. It's an excellent primer for beginners and a great desk reference for advanced tacklemakers. Excellent illustrations. The only "con" to this book is that it doesn't include more information on fishing tackle design. It tells you how to make the different lures, but doesn't include much information on why certain designs work better than others. Overall, we say, "Buy this book!" - Erik Moore
