I've had this cookbook for about six months, and since there are not many reviews, I decided to put my two cents in. This book is large, about 9X12, gives a great history on veganism, and more nutritional info than I expected. I like this book because I can see what I'm about to cook. Not only that, but there are step by step pictures to help me through. However I'm a new vegan and have only tried one recipe: Lentils with Mushrooms and Anis. It smells great, and tastes even better. Since I've pretty much been a meat & potatoes woman before going vegan, I've found many of these recipes intimidating. Examples: Pumpkin stuffed with pistachio, saffron and apricot pilaff, Carrot and nut biryani, Vegetable moussaka with tofu topping.
Also, most of these recipes are not quick, which is fine if I'm making something that I'm slightly familiar with (ie: vegan lasagna, which btw is not in this book). But when something is completely foreign to me (ie: Aubergine, olive and bean tagine), may take 2- 3 times longer than my usual recipes & MAY be dissatisfying, I can be hesitant. I'm sure all of these recipes are great, but I'm going to have to take my time with them. The one thing that I like most is that the recipes have little reliance on processed ingredients and the desserts look nothing short of amazing! I say if you have the time, are a brave new vegan, experienced vegan cook (I'm about six months into the Vegan lifestyle so I'm not quite there), go for it! So many of these recipes look impressive, and not hard, just different. I really believe this to be a worthy investment into anyone's cooking library.
One bad note: the binding. I haven't had any pages fall out yet, but I'm concerned about the future.

The estimate for delivery time for this product made me think I'd have to wait a half a month, but it ended up being at my doorstep in a reasonable amount of time. The book was in great condition as it was packaged quite well. No fuss no cus. Good job, folks! Now to cooking!

This book is absolutely amazing - great introduction to vegan cooking. I'm a vegetarian and have been afraid to take the next step and become a vegan, but this book has really inspired me! Lots of great tips on nutrition, great instructions and wonderful recipes. Tempted to try almost all the recipes!
