This is a great book for new hog hunters and has several useful thoughts for the more experienced. Of the 216 numbered pages 203 have informative content. Within the 203 pages are 97 B&W photos. The photos range in viewable quality from good to poor with only 8 photos being so difficult for me to discern what I was looking at that they were useless to view, however, the remaining photos were much appreciated. Well worth the $18 I paid but I'd be disappointed had I paid the $26.95 sugg. retail. The author sounds like he has the knowledge and experience to improve on this book by going into more detail about hunting the American wild boar. Also, I would've liked more information dealing with anatomy and shot placement and could have done without the chapter on hunting warthogs. I found this book to be an enjoyable read and I'm glad I have it in my library.

This book is pretty comprehensive but not extremely well detailed. It is, I suppose, written for the beginner to intermediate level Hog Hunter. I was a little disappointed.

This book offers good information for any hunter in the field. It also offers very good equipment advice, and that is important to hunters new to the sport.

Pictures in this book are not good, as otherwise I would have given it 5 stars. Author discusses use of a range of weapons which is interesting as my only experience is with rifles. Good review of equipment and clothing. Recommendations for Florida probably most appropriate for us in Australia. Overall a very good read.

This book was well written and informative. He covers his topic well. It is not just another hunting book and it covers topics not generally looked at by the average hunter. The only complaint I have is I wish he had covered more on the characteristics of the wild hog. I feel it was money well spend and was well priced. The seller went over board to see that I received the book in excellent condition also.

The book is great for beginners like me (I had killed hogs before and after reading). The portion on stand hunting helped me select my next stand after reading the book and guess what; I killed a decent boar from the ground at 50 yards using what I had learned in the book. Definitely worth the price.

This year was my first time hunting hogs.I found this book very helpful.Yes hogs are very smart it has been hard hunting them here in FL.

I am new to hunting and I did get a lot of useful info out of this book. The pictures are some of the worst quality I have seen in a book. Overall though, the price was good and I like hard cover. I would recommend it.
