This book answer ALL of my questions about trail building and restoration and way more. Incredibly comprehensive, very thorough book. I bought it because after doing a little research it appeared to be the go to guide. Now I can see why.

Very complete book with nice illustrations. Actually it is too complete because it contains a lot of basic information a more experienced person does not need but that is acceptable - particularly if you are looking for a single resource. It supplements other books on the subject.

Very thorough, well documented book. Lots of information for hikers and even some decent info for other entusiasts like mountain bikers, skiers and snoeshoers.

I purchased this book with the intent to build some trails on new property and I'm excited to get started.
