It includes an illustrated guide to the major breeds, as well as chapters starting with You and your cat, Choosing a cat, bringing home your cat, Responsible cat ownership, and chapters on everything else. Caring for your cat, Health Care, breeding and showing, History of the cat and much more. Chapters discuss how to care for one's cat, the basics of good feline health care, what one needs to know if considering breeding or showing one's cat, and an extensive summary of cat breeds. Featuring beautiful full-color photographs on every page of man's favorite feline friends, The Complete Cat Owner's Manual is a joy for cat lovers simply to page through as well as a jam-packed repository of invaluable information. For example, The Complete Cat Owner's Manual warns that the following foods should never be fed to cats: chocolate (poisonous to cats and dogs), onions (can cause a blood disorder called Heinz-body anemia), raw fish/poultry/eggs (often carry bacteria or parasites, and can destroy important vitamins), bones (may splinter and cause choking or gastrointestinal perforations) or dog food (which is not nutritionally formulated for cats). Highly recommended.

This book is informative especially the parts where the author talks about grooming, caring, and raising a cat in general. I felt that it was a very educational book. I would suggest this book to other cat-lovers and anyone who would like to own a "all-in-one" book on cats. It includes how to care for them, feline history, and a guide to breeds. If you are just looking for a guide to breeds, I would suggest another one. As you can see from other reviews, the Bengal breed section is inaccurate, but if you're looking for a book on how to care for cats and a most accurate guide to breeds, this is the one.
