Comprehensive and easy to follow,

I loved the way this book presented each of these techniques: colored pencil, charcoal, pen and ink, sanguine crayons, pastels, wax crayons, watercolor, oils and acrylics. It covers materials as well as technique. For technique there are illustrations of works by known artists at various stages to completion with commentary. There is really a wealth of information in this one source. It is particularly well suited to the beginner or amateur artist.
