This excellant book Describes every film-and every role-that Bette Davis played in. It also includes a brief biography of this Hollywood legand. Very well done.

3.0 out of 5 stars Poor "Dark Victory" write-up: plot errors, March 10, 2011
This review is from: The Complete Films of Bette Davis (Citadel stars) (Paperback)
I just purchased an old, used copy of The Films of Bette Davis -- I didn't realize there was a new edition! -- and was aghast at the plot summary of "Dark Victory." I wonder if author Gene Ringgold had the remake in mind -- and whether between the first edition and this second one he has made corrections. In "Dark Victory," Judith Traherne's friends do not set up her with the brain surgeon at a cocktail party; her old family doctor and her best friend Ann escort her to the doctor's office for one of the best scenes Davis ever played. And the Humphrey Bogart character doesn't tell Miss Traherne to go out and grab life; when she says, "Michael, I'm going to die," he invokes Heaven. Finally, the Steeles do not move to Connecticut, but to Vermont. Such peculiar mistakes! I like the book anyway because the photographs are neat and hey, it's a Bette Davis book.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Must have for fans., December 31, 2010
This review is from: The Complete Films of Bette Davis (Citadel stars) (Paperback)
This book is better than the first filmography book made becuase it includes all of her films and tv appearances.the first one was published in 1966 i beleive,so the last film listed in it is "The Nanny"(1965) wich wasnt her last film. this is a very good book and Bette Davis fans are sure to enjoy it,one thing i thoug,i wish it were hardback but..
