This is the definitive work on Bogey and his work written by Clifford McCarty who was a giant in the field of film history, especially film music. Also check out his other films in this series: complete films of Frank Sinatra and complete films of Errol Flynn, as well as the definitive work on film composers: Film Composers in America 1911-1970.
He treats the work with respect and doesn't sully it with personal opinion or fare worthy of the rumor mill. It's simply a book that gives an overview of Bogart's films along with plenty of pictures. A must-own for fans of Bogart and early film.

I think this is a wonderful romance film. As a personal fan of Humphrey Bogart I think his part was excellent. This book is deffiently worth reading.
