A Valuable Resource,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: The Complete Food Counter, 3rd Edition (Mass Market Paperback)
This 3rd edition is an updated and (physically) smaller version of their 2nd edition. The size and cost are more attractive for day-to-day use. It is an easy to use and valuable resource for anyone wanting to know basic nutritional information on a wide range of fresh, branded, and restaurant foods. About the only negative I can think of is that in some cases the portion definitions are inconvenient or difficult to convert to the units I want to use.

Must have,
By LV OBG (Las Vegas, NV United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Complete Food Counter, 3rd Edition (Mass Market Paperback)
If you are serious about keeping track of what's going into your mouth, this book is a "Must Have". Even more so if you are doing the HCG diet, Atkins, South Beach, or any other method that requires strict adherence to numbers. Wish they had it on CD. Good luck with your efforts!

BEST Carb Counter Book...,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: The Complete Food Counter, 3rd Edition (Mass Market Paperback)
I am a type 1 diabetic who has tried countless books to find carb values to help control my blood sugar. They are confusing and lack the information for many of the unique foods I eat. This book is BY FAR, the best one I have EVER found. 100 stars is too few to rate this book.

Has lots of information BUT.....,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: The Complete Food Counter, 3rd Edition (Mass Market Paperback)
It's hard to find what you are looking for at times. For example, if you look up peaches, it will have every kind of peach from canned to fresh to cobbler to jam. Sometimes it's pages. In a book this is very time consuming. At least 40% of the book could have been eliminated to make looking things up easier. It's over 5" thick.
