The Complete Green Letters is the most helpful book on spiritual growth that I have read and I have been reading these kinds of books for 31 years. The truths have been largely forgetten by other writers today and Mr. Standford brings them back for all Christians to live and enjoy. This book can set the believer free from the power of sin over life. Thank you Mr. Stanford! I invite everyone to enjoy and learn to rest in the Lord Jesus Christ for life. Warning! This book will invade your life with the life of Christ Himself. Read and enjoy Him!!

"By Grace you have been saved through faith." (eph 2:8-9) I know i'm saved by grace but how am i to live the Christian life??? The bible says "as you received Christ Jesus the Lord so walk in Him."(col 2:6) How did you recieve Him? "Did you recieve the Spirit by the works of the law of by the hearing of faith? are you so foolish having begun in the Spirit are you now being made perfect by the flesh." (galatians 3:2-4) "the letter kills but the Spirit gives life" (2 corithians 3:6)Jesus said "i am the Life" (John 14:10) Only Christ can live the Christian life - the Christian life isn't an imitation but a participation in the life of another. "I am the Vine you are the branches." (John 15) The whole Christian life in Christ is "by grace through faith."

This is a wonderful book - he points to Christ and His completed work on the cross, "our old man was crucified with Him." That is a historic fact. We die to sin not by our experiences but by the believing of the fact of what He has done. Now day by day we get to walk less and less according to the flesh and more and more according to the Spirit - by faith believing on His work of the crucified and risen Jesus. It is by knowing our POSITION (standing) in Christ and what He has done that we are able to grow in our CONDITION (walk, fellowship and growth) in Him day by day. The basis of the Christ life is faith .....faith in God's fact - that is in the God who cannot lie! I recommend this book so highly.

"but we with unveiled face beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord are beng transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord."(2 cor 3:18)

UPDATE: by the way the Bible college i went to (called Calvary Chapel Bible College in Europe), the director Mr. Metzger said this book was heresy and promptly removed it from the library. Not a good place to study the Bible at.

I HAVE BEEN A CHRISTIAN FOR OVER 20 YEARS. I HAVE READ HUNDREDS OF CHRISTIAN BOOKS, AND THIS BOOK IS THE BEST EVER WRITTEN ON SPIRITUAL GROWTH. THE HOLY SPIRIT REALLY MINISTERED TO ME THROUGH THIS BOOK. MOST OF THESE TRUTHS HAVE BEEN FORGOTTEN BY THE MODERN CHURCH. EVERY CHRISTIAN ESPECIALLY PASTORS SHOULD READ THIS BOOK. I WILL BE BUYING COPIES OF THE COMPLETE GREEN LETTERS FOR ALL OF MY FRIENDS!

Miles Stanford explains HOW to walk in the Spirit and be delivered from sin. It's CHRIST IN ME and mentally accepting that self/sin was crucified with Christ. No longer I who live, but Christ living in me!!! Nowhere in all my church going have these scriptures been taught like he teaches them. My life will never be the same. Sin no longer has a hold on me. For me to live is Christ! Birth truths vs. Growth truths are all here. Deliverance from the penalty of sin AND the power of sin!!!

Miles Stanford brings out the mandatory basis for true Spiritual growth with the "not I, but Christ" in absolute clarity! Other than the KJV, this book has changed my walk in Him. Positional Truth teaching on the practical level!

God has stripped away my dependence on most modern authors and led me to this book. It has been like the missing piece to the puzzle of how to live a victorious life in Christ. I have also been able to obtain most of his recommended 'further growth reading' material, much early 20th century. If you have a hungry heart (you'll know if you do!), you must read this book.

As a Christian, I always desired Union with God and to walk just like my Lord. There are various xtian theologies on how to accomplish this.... except for one fact...it has done...Finished!...He did it 2000yrs ago! You are ALREADY like Him! This is a summary of this EXTRAORDINARY book. Once you grasp this fact, you will experience the freedom, liberty and rest of mind that Christ promises and delivers. If you are reading this book, it is very likely no coincidence and God drew you to this book. Read it prayerfully and you will taste of the powers of age to come...a taste of Divine life.

From the basics to the more in-depth, this book was written to share the foundational and positional truths of what Christ has already done. It opens up many eyes, especially those who are tired of striving, and who are looking for a better way. I went from a very legalistic background to a deeper knowledge of grace. I finally realized that it's not us working for God, it's God working through us. The Holy Spirit, through this book, opened my eyes to what God wants for me!

The Complete Green Letters gives us as believers a clear roadmap to reach our sanctification destination "In Christ". As with Watchman Nee (The Normal Christian Life), Miles Stanford sees the importance of what God stated through the Apostle Paul in Galatians 2:20, "It is no longer I, but Christ." This knowledge is sorely lacking in many evangelical churches today, and is a timeless pearl that needs to be recovered. Here it is in Stanford's plain English for all to study and absorb, with your open Bible as the compass.

Throughout the course of this book the author provides us with 71 lessons dealing with Principles, Foundations, Realization, and a Guide to spiritual growth, along with the believer's fundamental Relationship to the Cross and Christ. Stanford sets forth biblical truth concerning the believer's new position In Christ, and our new covenant relationship to Law and Grace. Stanford also exhorts us not to "keep looking up" (from ourselves to Christ), but instead we are to "keep looking down" (from our position in Him) upon our circumstances here on earth. Point well taken--especially to those who would have believers look back over our shoulders to Mt. Sinai.

Here is much of the positional teaching we all need to understand, apply, and reflect upon on a daily basis. Sanctification is a never-ending process, but with God's Word, our position In Christ, and the empowerment of the Holy Spirit, we should always be moving forward and closer to the image of Christ. I sincerely hope you will find joy in your spiritual journey!

Stanford knew how to speak the truth in love. This book explains the Christian walk and how to walk it. No frills, no whistles, just scriptural truths expounded without agenda.
