This book is a good guide to the Tomy "HO" scale slot cars produced between 1986 when Tomy started selling A/FX cars in the US and 1997 when Tomy sold the inventory to Scale Auto. Both the USA market cars and the Foreign market cars are covered by this book. The graphics have a black and white picture of each car and a color spread of the cars grouped by mold and type that includes each car paint job. Each of the individual colors of the molds are all covered. The different colors for the same mold can have very different prices on the collectors market. This book indicates the rareness of the car, but it is not a price guide. While the collctors market seems to be concentrating on the old Aurora cars, this book reminds us of what wonderfull bodies Tomy produced. The Tomy Group C / GTP cars may have been the best series of slot cars for scale, subject and attractiveness ever produced, and this book documents them and many other wonderfull Tomy cars. Personaly i would consider the some of the Tomy cars to be the nicest cars in my collection and to cover the prototypes that i liked most.
