I was trying to learn to do acrylic nails but this book doesnt really go into detail it's more about basic pedicures and manicures.

Extremely well done! Very informative and professional. Highly detailed and pictorally immaculate! A coffee table book of the highest order. I highly recommend it, and it would make an excellent and worthy gift for either sex.

This book provides some basic guidelines. It is a good reference for anyone who would like to know the basics (a beginner). The book is not for a student or professional of the craft. It will not enhance your understanding, creativity, or skill as an artisan.

I recommend this book for anyone interested in good grooming, or as a gift for the young woman about to graduate or embark on a new career. I expected a "how to" format. I was surprised and pleased to find it so comprehensive and instructional in its approach. Its complete information makes it a good investment.

I got this book so that I could do my own mani/pedi's and it was worth it. Took some doing to get my feet to look even a little nice because they have never seen any pampering and I am forty years old now. I am so tickled to say that they look like the pretty feet you see on television and I do it myself. I used to have very long nails and when I had my little girl (now 18 months old) I decided to keep them short. I actually get asked all the time who does my nails. I aam tickled and proud that I can say I do my own nails as well. I am a stay at home mom and at the end of the day a nice foot soak and a tall cold glass of water with lemon just makes me feel good.

Beautifully photographed book that provides scientific explanations, health maintenance tips and step by step easy to follow directions on doing your own manicure and pedicure. For an initial investment in the supplies the author recommends, you can save hundreds by doing your own beauty care.

I did not get much from this book. Very, very basic information. I would not recommend it.

Very informative and practical. I also like the writing style. Book was in very good condition and I received it promptly. I would recommend this book for anyone who wants to be more proactive with caring for their own hair (Afro-american).
